You are on holiday in Spain and want to call the UK. You would dial the Spanish Freephone Access number, 800 099762, enter your account number and PIN when prompted, and dial your UK number, starting with your Area code. The call would cost you total just 6.9p per minute.

It depends on the phone line provider and the arrangement your University/College has with them.  If the system will not allow access to 0800 Freephone numbers then you might want to consider our Student Ring-Back service.

You dial the 0208 access number, after two rings hang-up and then the service rings back with a dial tone and you make your call as normal.

No, it will not work with non-geographical numbers.  However, if you are able to establish the “true” number then we should be able to provide the service.

Where a non-geographical number has been assigned to your room it is to generate additional income for the phone company and, possibly, the college/university from any usage of the line.  However, the phone will normally have a hidden local number as well – the “true” number.

If I decide to terminate my account can I get a refund?

Yes, we will refund you the credit remaining on the account less an administration fee of 10% (minimum fee £5.00).

Sincerely,

Manager, Customer Services
